Jen Cardillo is the designer of Las Charolastras, a jewelry line of edgy, colorful pieces. Her work is constantly evolving. She writes a fantastic blog that we are always checking for style tips and a good laugh. Check her out Friday, July 13th from 6-8pm.
Can you tell us what you make?
I make handmade jewelry and hair combs inspired by far away places I have never been to.
What is your dream project?
My dream project is to own a small boutique with an in-house brand focusing on jewelry, women's clothing, and housewares.
If you were a piece of clothing what would it be and what color pattern?
If I were a piece of clothing I would be any couture Givenchy gown from 2011. The S/S collection was mostly white, with pops of neon color-- stunning.
....or I'd settle on being a pair of David Beckham's underwear ;)
What is your go-to "happy" song?
Right now my go-to happy song is by Group Love, the song "Tongue Tied" Perfect for summer!
I am always drawing inspiration from exotic places I have never been to. I have a long standing obsession with India, especially traditional Indian art. The details, the colors...
I would live in this picture if I could.
